OROS, an Innovative Leader in Rotating Analysis

Measuring accurately noise and vibrations on rotating and reciprocating machines requires high performance instruments equipped with the right functionalities, especially when machines are investigated during run ups and coast downs. Whether the test is run at the design, acceptance or maintenance stage, it should proceed rapidly and easily because the testing time is short. Managing your order profiles and spectra cascades results is just a glance away, however you display the data as a function of RPM or oil pressure. OROS offers a range of plug-ins and solutions to tackle your rotating analysis.

Synchronous Order Analysis

When the speed variation of a rotating machinery is big and fast, the analysis can be realized with the Synchronous Order Analysis plug-in. Analysis settings are optimized in real-time to match the speed changes.

Waterfall

If you want to have your measurement done efficiently, you can arrange your order profile and spectrum results in a waterfall display. Then, you can check the measurements at a glance and display the data in a function of the engine speed or the oil pressure.

Torsional Vibration Measurement

Rotating components of machinery such as engines, generators and power transmissions are continuously subjected to torsional forces, resulting in torsional vibrations. The torsional vibration measurement is fully integrated in to the OROS 3-series analyzers. Up to 6 tach inputs oversampling at 6.4MHz, 1,024 pulses/rev and 40,000 RPM (with a 60 pulse/rev), makes the OROS 3-Series analyzers ideally suited for rotating measurements.

Orbits

ORBIGate is the OROS solution for vibration analysis, validation test, signature and other diagnostics. ORBIGate tackles the vibration problems on shafts and fluid bearings for turbines.

Balancing

With a simple interface, the balancing software is great solution to have your machine balanced on one or two planes. Based on the poweful Synchronous Order Analysis plug-in and extra DSPs, the resampling method allows a high phase accuracy for more precision.

Rotating Vibration Analysis - Order Tracking techniques

Being reserved to specialists for a couple of years, noise and vibration analysis techniques are more and more widely used in the automotive industry by the car manufacturers and their suppliers. Rotating elements generate vibrations determined by their kinematics, structural caracteristics of the rotating parts as well as the stationary parts, load conditions and imperfections of moving parts. For optimizing the behavior of a rotating system, it is essential to be able to use a suited tool, the order tracking.
