OROS Modal 2 V4, Innovative Modal Analysis

With version 4 of OROS Modal 2, a new generation of modal analysis software is on the horizon!
All the functions you need for your modal analysis are available; all is done to guide you through the different steps.
OM2 V4 goes further by increasing the flexibility with a new import interface. This improvement ensures and simplifies the data assignment.
Moreover this version contains a new algorithmic element which enhances the ergonomic and intuitive interface. The Broband method uses the latest advanced research innovation in Experimental Modal Analysis and Operational Modal Analysis. This ‘New standard’ is a technique to identify clearly the different modes and automate the calculation.
Simplicity and efficiency in operation associated to powerful and automatic identification methods make OM2 an essential partner for your tests.
Don’t wait anymore to discover these new features!

Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Measurement with OROS 3-Series Analyzers

Continuously variable transmission (CVT) is getting more and more important in automotive transmissions. Thanks to years of R&D from the major car manufacturers, CVT is becoming a basic necessity. This new technology requests new tools for validation and diagnostics. On the leading age of this trend, OROS announces the availability of a combined tachometer as an option (ORNV-CTE) for the OROS 3-Series analyzers.

NVGate®, the OROS 3-Series software platform, now enables computing from 2 independent tachometers (the pulleys) the speed  of an inaccessible third tachometer (the belt) using a formula editor. This function is available while post-processing data as well as during on-line analysis. ORNV-CTE extends further the extraordinary capabilities of OROS analyzers in rotating measurements. OROS reaffirms its leader’s position in rotating machinery analysis.

OROS Modal 2 compatible with FEMTools

Modal analysis is a widely used technique in structural test domain. Simulation models and experimental results association leads to a good structure behaviour understanding.
OROS Modal 2 is a comprehensive tool for experiments. Powerful techniques are at your disposal to realize quick and efficient modal analysis.
To complete your analysis and go further in your investigation, a simulation tool can be a great help. Typically, true test-analysis correlation and FE model updating can be realized.

FEMTools is a software dedicated for these kind of operations. Indeed interesting modules are proposed to users : especially FEMTools correlation and FEMTools updating. By using both experimental and numerical results, implemented functions in this software allow to:

  • Simulate and optimize modal tests,
  • Realize visual and numerical comparison between two sets of data (FEA-Test, FEA-FEA, Test-Test),
  • Update parameters to make the structure better match the target responses.

OROS guaranties the compatibility between both software. The experimental results from OROS Modal 2 can be easily imported to FEMTools. Thereby, all the operations using experimental and simulated results combination are available. Be sure the complete tools panel dedicated to modal analysis is reachable if you use OROS modal solution.

OROS introduces the Mobi-PackTM The first multichannel field analyzer and recorder for vibration diagnostics

Rough, Rugged and Real-Time without compromise!

The Mobi-PackTM is a 16 channel all-in-one vibration analyzer, specially dedicated for the tough field environments. The Mobi-PackTM is designed for vibration specialists traveling everywhere to troubleshoot vibration issues from an offshore oil platform to the turbine side of a nuclear power plant. The Mobi-PackTM can be practically carried and used in the field thanks to its rugged design.
The Mobi-PackTM thrives in dirty, dusty, and humid places or magnetic fields making no compromise on the power and precision of the instrument. Shocks and vibrations during transport or even operation will not prevent it from acquiring the critical data it is meant to capture.

Based on the well proven OROS 3-Series technology, it combines all functionalities and possibilities of the 3-Series analyzers in a package made for the field: tough and rough.
